NATIONWIDE’S FLORIAN BEY EARNS CTS-D CERTIFICATION

Nationwide Audio Visual is excited to announce Florian Bey has achieved his CTS-D certification, the industry’s premiere designation for audiovisual system design capabilities and knowledge.

Managed, tested and awarded by AVIXA, the global association for AV professionals, a CTS-D recognizes the holder’s abilities to assess a client’s operational needs and technical requirements. It also certifies abilities to design a wide range of AV and conferencing systems, prepare design documentation, and coordinate with other professionals in the construction and communications industries. A CTS-D must be renewed every three years based on rigorous continuing education and reaffirmation of a commitment to the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct.

Florian Bey has been designing AV systems with the Nationwide team since 2018. A graduate of Fanshawe College’s Music Industry Arts program, Bey has twelve years’ professional experience, including both installed and live events technology. He has been an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) since 2018.

“Flo is the first Nationwide employee to earn a CTS-D,” said company President Shawn Quinlan. “We’re really proud of his accomplishments, as well as the contributions he makes every day as a key member of our design, engineering and project delivery team. His promotion to Senior Systems Designer is well deserved.”

“This is a really important milestone for Nationwide Audio Visual,” said Brock McGinnis CTS, VP of Sales and Operations. “As a company, we’re committed to achieving AVIXA’s top-tier Provider of Excellent (APEx) certification this year, which requires us to have at least one CTS-D on staff. By all reports the exam is extremely challenging, and Flo really stepped up for the team when he volunteered to take it first.”

Bey contributes to a wide range of AV engineering and design projects with Nationwide.  Most recently he spearheaded an extensive meeting room, collaboration and conferencing technology rollout for an Ontario government agency and is our lead design consultant to the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. He also works with fellow Senior Systems Designer Shafi Khan on our numerous medical projects, including the new West Park Healthcare Centre and Michael Garron Hospital.
