AutoCad Design Engineer Audio/Visual

Location:  Mississauga, ON  Job Type:  Full Time Position

The AV Systems Engineer will provide sales support and project engineering services by assisting with client needs analysis, system design, proposal generation, labor estimation, shop drawing creation, and system documentation. Candidate must have prior experience designing commercial AV systems. Proficiency creating project documentation using AutoCAD and MS Office is essential. A thorough understanding of digital media transmission and routing, AVB, CobraNet, media capture, storage, streaming, and control networks is required. Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communications required. AMX and Crestron programming experience helpful, but not a requirement. Experience with products from manufacturers such as AMX, Biamp, Cisco, ClearOne, Crestron, Extron, Polycom is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in related technical field, or comparable experience. CTS certification required, CTS-D is preferred. Must demonstrate continued technical education through vendor and/or industry certifications.

Audio Visual Technician – Level 2

Location:  Mississauga, ON  Job Type:  Full Time Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician, Level 2 for our Mississauga office.  This key position within our organization requires a team-oriented individual with advanced technical knowledge of audio visual, audio and video conferencing equipment and integrated systems. Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education related to electronics and knowledge of IP networks and infrastructure. Certification ( CTS or CTS-I) or proven knowledge and proficiency in programming Crestron or AMX (or similar) audio-visual control systems will be a definite asset. Intermediate Technical staff must be able to work in a self-directed environment and be able to direct junior staff, be proficient in audio and video installation best practices, have good mechanical skills.


  • To organize materials and time in an efficient manner
  • Maintain the project change order procedures
  • End user system training when required
  • Prepare system Manuals for customer and AEL archives
  • Maintaining effective lines of communication between customer base and sales staff to ensure continuity of information
  • Keep Project Coordinator informed of current and projected status on all projects on a weekly basis
  • Regularly maintain labour management procedures to provide technical support to the sales staff

Duties & Activities

  • Programming of control system hardware and touch panel interface
  • Wiring, termination, equipment installation and AV rack building as per project specifications
  • Testing of complete systems and repairing any deficiencies in a timely manner
  • Troubleshooting and servicing installed systems and components
  • Work under the direction of Installation Manager/ Engineers / Project Managers
  • Operate as site lead and direct junior Technical staff
  • Reading and understanding schematic and technical drawings, scheduling of job site access
  • Prepare system user’s manuals for customer and internal company archives
